Photography was introduced to me at a young age because my father had a photography business. I was the redhead child lugging around all the gear at the civil war reenactments, air shows,  and anything else that included large crowds and a ton of walking. Apparently, at some point, my dad thought it was time to start teaching me the "ways of the camera" by the age of around 10 or 11, which resulted in him also shoving me in just about every photography class known to man. This lasted up until I left for basic training at the age of 18.

Fast forward to when I got my first DSLR camera and wanted to do my own photography stuff without being forced. I had just turned 19 and bought one of my dad's back up cameras and lenses for $800. I started taking that on trips with me and shooting sports.  As time went on I got a better camera and took better photos.

Fast forward again to after I got out of the military and applied for a position at the VA here in Las Vegas. My photography skills are what landed me the position. The position included medical, event, portrait, pathology, surgical, morgue, crime scene, high-level dignitaries and many more specialties in photography.   Not only did it include them but it also specialized in graphic design and print production. From 2012 to 2020 I activated the hospital here set in place the procedures and protocols while getting them the equipment that they needed.

During that time I also went through a divorce, had an illness that damn near killed me, and survived the Route 91 Las Vegas Shooting. Right before the divorce, I decided that I wanted to start my own business. My now ex-husband told me that I would never amount to anything and told me I was stupid for even thinking it. That next weekend I went to several photography meetups and started networking with other photographers and models in the Las Vegas area. From there, I crafted my skill. I would find someone's work that inspired me and I would learn how to get as good as they were. Then I would achieve their greatness and then I would surpass them and move on to my next goal. I kept doing this over and over again until I was satisfied. I repeated the steps so many times that new photographers now get mentored by me and it is an honor to teach them because we all start somewhere.

I always tell people that there is no goal too far to achieve.  Start small and work up to it. I just added a laser engraving machine to my business to be able to give another unique option to my clients on top of the designs and photography. I can't wait to start using it. Now that I'm not working full time anymore , I finally have time to get back to the clients that I was too worn out to do before <3

Success! Message received.
